Solar panels are about to get less expensive, and easier to implement, with solar plastic. They are talking about being able to make products like cell phones and laptops out of solar plastic. Thus making the products themselves into their own charging systems. This new solar material will have other applications as well. Solar Siding for homes (that looks good) and they are even saying they can weave this into clothing.

| I had a very simple yet profound experience with these new bulbs. At an energy fair a guy had a power meter, like one that you see on the outside of your house. Has these little dials that spin around to tell you how much energy you are consuming. The faster the dial spins, the more energy that was going out.
On top of the meter he has two bulbs threaded in, one old style bulb and one of these new ones. He flips the switch to the old one and the dial starts spinning. It probably completes on circle every 2 or 3 seconds. Then he flipped the switch to the new style. The difference was insane. The dial slowed to a crawl, completing one circle every 10 or 20 seconds. ..read more here...
